Easter Holidays

Easter is back around and kids are getting annoyingly excited, people are buying eggs like crazy
and stuffing their faces but do you know the actual reason behind it all???

We all love a bit of chocolate but why do we go crazy for each bite at this particular time of year???

The meaning of Easter is supposed to be about Jesus Christ's triumph over death after being crucified. His resurrection symbolising the having of eternal life for those whom believe in Him
(John- 3:16). The eggs we all love are apparently supposed to represent re-birth slash the tomb Christ was buried in, don't quote me but all the books i've read on this stuff pretty much say similar things but take a second to look it up for yaself, i'm just trying to get people to think about the history of the tradition as they munch a piece of their chocy egg.

But check this out, Easter wasn't always the celebration of Christ that it is today. Originally it was a Pagan celebration for renewal and re-birth in honour of the Pagan Saxon Goddess Eastre, so it was similar but they probably did things a bit different. From my understanding I could have it wrong but early missionaries converted the Pagans over to Christianity fucks knows hows they did it or why (need to read some more for that bit) but they supposedly did and when Jesus was resurrected it fell around the same time and the original Eastre celebration so they were both merged into one which we know as EASTER. Only a nutshell some of you out there might care others may not give a shit and just wanna enjoy ya egg give a fuck where abouts it came from. I just feel its important that if you follow certain traditions you should know a little bit about why you do.
